Mt Hutt Ski Trip
On Wednesday, 7th September a group of learners from Years 6 - 8 travelled to Mt Hutt for a ski/snowboarding trip.
The weather was absolutely perfect for a day on the mountain! Leaving school at 7.30am, we travelled by bus to Mt Hutt.
On arrival, it was all hands on deck to get our boots, skis/snowboards and helmets ready for the Beginner Lessons at 11am.
More experienced learners enjoyed some time on the slopes with their volunteer helpers.
After lunch, the groups swapped as the Level 3+ groups took their lesson, and everyone else practised their new skills! Even the teachers hit the slopes with the encouragement of the kids.
We had the most amazing group of adult volunteers who went above and beyond to support their groups and keep everyone safe. We are very grateful for your support. A special mention to the older Knill brothers who came along and spent their day teaching and encouraging beginner snowboarders.
