Term 2 has started
Term two has started quickly and we are in full swing with Year 7/8 girls and boys Basketball teams playing in our local competition. Students are in full swing with winter sports trainings.
We have a full term planned and hope that we will be able to complete everything that is on the calendar. We are all looking forward to more contact with our community and being able to hold events. We are looking forward to being able to have our first school mass in a number of terms this term.
As a school community it is essential that we continue to play our part and try to slow the spread of the Covid virus. Our school data shows that only a third of our students have tested positive for covid and a third of our staff. As the outside world begins to open this allows for more opportunity for us to come in contact with the virus. New strains of the virus are starting to appear, and it is being reported that students that have already had covid this year are now getting it for a second time. We are strongly recommending wearing of masks inside classes and during whole school activities. Although this is not something we can enforce we appreciate that playing our part in the bigger picture and slowing down spread means we can continue to function as a school more efficiently and to continue to be able to offer all the opportunities we can for students. We will continue to monitor this and keep you informed of any changes. If your child does test positive, please continue to inform the school as soon as possible.
This term assemblies will be held in the school hall. They start at 2:15. We do ask if you are coming to these to please wear a face mask and social distance where possible.
