Board of Trustees
St Joseph's School Temuka - July 13, 2020
Tremendous changes have occurred in the administration of schools in the last few years and are continuing.
The Board appreciates your support and its members are approachable if you have any concerns. Meetings are held once a month and are advertised on the school noticeboard and through the school newsletter - you are welcome to attend any of these meetings.

On behalf of the St Joseph’s School Temuka Board of Trustees, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the St Joseph’s School Website.
The role of the Board of Trustees is to provide a governance overview of St Joseph’s and ensure that all the legal and compliance requirements, as stipulated by the Ministry of Education are adhered to and enhance the quality of student learning. As a Catholic school, we also have Bishop’s Appointees as members of our board who are responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Special Character of our school. Meeting formally at least twice a term, our minutes of these meetings are available for viewing in our school office foyer.
The current board is a great, dynamic mix of members of our Parent, Parish and wider Community, with a very valuable mix of previous board experience and new perspectives that continually challenge the status quo.
As they say, “it takes a village to raise a child” and we certainly recognise on a daily basis, how fortunate we are to have such an immensely supportive parent, Parish and wider community. Being a small, semi-rural Catholic school that prides itself on our Special Character, we could not offer our students all the exciting, holistic opportunities to shine in their learning and growth without this support, for which we are truly appreciative.
We also recognise the energy, initiative, dedication and absolute professionalism that the management, teaching and support staff of our school demonstrate each and every day.
We are all extremely proud to be a part of the St Joseph’s School Board of Trustees and are thrilled to be contributing to our school to ensure the best possible environment for our students, teachers and staff to get the most from their days at school.
If you see me around the school or the wider community at any time, please feel free to say hi and to share with me your experiences with our school. I am always keen to hear feedback from our parent, Parish and wider community to ensure that we are all doing the “right on” thing in everything we do.
