Korero with Mrs S
It’s been a busy start to the year as we’ve been making the most of the sunny days! Unfortunately, this year’s Triathlon had to be canceled due to rain and damp conditions, which made it unsafe to hold the event. While this was disappointing, we want to extend a big thank you to Miss Mac for all her hard work in organising the event beforehand.
The good news is that our school will still have the opportunity to compete, as we will be sending teams to represent us in the South Canterbury Triathlon.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather, and best of luck to all the participants.
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Murray Overton and Marion Tuite as part of our ERO Review. They were very impressed by the warm welcome from our students and remarked on the friendliness of both staff and students. They mentioned feeling extremely welcomed during their visit, which is a wonderful reflection of our school community.
We will receive a full report in the next month, and we look forward to reviewing the feedback. The ERO review process has evolved over the years, and we’re pleased to work closely with ERO to identify next steps and celebrate all the positive things happening within our school.
This Friday, our students will be traveling by bus to the Winchester Showgrounds to explore the Winchester A&P Show. We are delighted to have been invited and are looking forward to experiencing both the traditional and new exhibitions as part of this special celebration. It’s sure to be an exciting day of discovery and learning, and we can’t wait to see all that the show has to offer.
