Teaching Staff 2025

Next year, the staff at St Joseph's School will look a bit different. Due to family commitments, Mrs Swete will be taking on a new challenge, managing a job from home and coordinating her three extremely busy teenagers. Mrs Swete has been a valued member of our school for 10 years, and we will miss seeing her around daily. However, she assures us that she will pop in from time to time to help out or just to say hi.

Mrs Simpson, who has been part of our school community this year, has accepted teaching contracts overseas with her husband. They will be working for a charitable trust, teaching English to 5-7 year old children in government schools in Brunei. They are seizing this opportunity for an adventure before their children finish secondary school. We wish them all the best for their travels.

Next year, we welcome two new teachers to our team. Vicky Mitchell, who will be a second year teacher, comes to us from Highfield School. She has a wealth of teacher aide experience and later trained to be a teacher, following her passion. Stacey Herd joins us from Grantlea Downs School and is entering her fourth year of teaching. She has a love for languages, with Te Reo being a particular passion, and we look forward to her contributions to Kapa Haka next year.

We are very grateful to have filled our teaching positions with local teachers who have a passion for students and learning.
