The Race

As the wooden planks collided telling me to accelerate. We came to the starting line. The sticks hit. I was off.

The push from my muscles provided momentum, I started accelerating .

Little magnets pulled me back, but my legs pumped like a piston.

Gravity stuck me to the ground as I was running.

My kinetic energy kicked in. Later, the kinetic energy was turned into heat energy.

My velocity slowly dialled down.

The friction was pulling on my shoes, it felt like a magnet.

Newton’s Second Law of motion means that I can twist and turn as I exert forces to help me turn.

As I passed the marshals, some ran with me, helping me to accelerate.

The grass pulled me down causing me to fall over – not enough friction.

Long grass everywhere pulled, people down as gravity and friction worked against us.

I deaccelerated as I spied a hill.

Heat energy is coming from my body like an explosion.

My body was warmer than the sun.

My face was like an overheated phone.

Heat energy everywhere.

As I approached the finish line the pounding of my heart when boom, boom, boom.

I was winning. My velocity challenged that of Lightning McQueen.
