After a nail-biting penalty shoot-out, the SMC water polo team came away with silver at the recent Nationals in Rotorua.

With 17 teams competing, the SMC girls went into the finals with an unbeaten run but Epsom Girls College took the edge in the shoot-out and took the win with a final score of 6-4.  Director of Sport, Helen Belcher, said, "It was an epic final and great effort from the girls. Our team represented St Margaret's and the South Island with outstanding form."
