SMC —

An introduction to our Arts Prefects, meet our new Arts Facilitator, arts signup follow up, speech and drama details and fantastic dance news.

From the Arts Prefects….
Hello, we are Anna Cropp and Zelle Logan and we are the joint Head of Arts at St Margaret's this year. We have both been heavily involved in the arts at the school since joining and are looking forward to all the exciting events happening this year. We are especially passionate about bringing attention to the achievements of all the students and show off all the SMC champions in our arts community.

From the Arts Facilitator...
Hello, I am Gill Blackler, the new Arts Facilitator at SMC… while new to the arts role I am not new to SMC, I have worked here for the last 7 years in Community Relations and more recently as the KAMAR Manager. Prior to joining SMC, I was very involved in arts event management having worked as Concerts Manager at Wells Cathedral School, one of the specialist music schools in England and as the Events Manager at the Auckland Cathedral of the Holy Trinity where I was involved in a wide range of events from the NZSO Concerts, Lexus Songquest Masterclasses, to the State Funeral for Sir Paul Reeves. I am very excited about working with the Arts Staff and Prefects for what promises to be a fabulous year!

Arts Signup
Arts signup was an amazing start to the school year! This year we have a wide range of co-curricular groups being offered ranging from Theatresports to Hip Hop to Chamber Music. A timetable of rehearsal times will be published soon, this will go out via Student Notices and will be displayed on the notice boards around the school.
If you missed signup day please get in touch with the Performing Arts staff.

Speech and Drama and Music Lessons
ALL ENROLMENT FORMS must be handed into the school office by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 14th. Forms can be collected from the School Office or can be downloaded here
