A huge congratulations to Abby Smith, Ashley Marfell and Olivia Marfell for their fantastic results from the recent NZ Highland Dancer of the year competition.

Olivia Marfell gained 4 top 10 placings In the Under 16 years age group

Ashley Marfell gained 3 top 10 placings in the Under 18 years age group

Abby Smith gained 10 top 10 placings including winning the Highland Fling title Under 18 and ranked 4th overall in the Under 18 years age group.

We are so proud of the hard work and dedication of these girls and their results are particularly impressive due to the disruption to this event causes by Covid - 19 earlier this year.

SMC Divas
The SMC Divas Cabaret took place at the end of Term 3, it was a fabulous event that showed once again how talented and resilient our girls are - COVID restrictions meant that the 1 performance had to turn into 3 performances.

Thank you to Mr Tarbotton who directed the concert and to all of the performing arts staff who all contributed to a highly successful series of concerts.

Arts Soiree
Last night staff, students and parents gathered for the annual Arts Soiree, the evening was a celebration of the arts with a distinctly 1920s theme. Over the course of the evening, it was revealed that a terrible crime had been committed - St Margaret has been stolen! Through a series of clues and examination of the scene of the crime, the great mystery of St Margaret was solved…

Special thanks to the Zelle, Anna and the Arts Council for a fabulous evening.
