Thank you to everyone who filled out our feedback survey in connection to the current PE and sports uniform review.

It was great to get so many responses (just under 600) and you gave us some very clear direction on your preferences:

• 64% prefer a round neck top rather than a v-neck
• 79% prefer short sleeves over cap sleeves 
• 87% prefer the predominantly blue with some green colourway
• 48% prefer a gathered ankle on the tracksuit pants, rather than straight or tapered
• 56% prefer short PE shorts
• 77% would like an optional house colour t-shirt
• The top SMC Supporters' Gear items were rugby jersey, hoodie, cap and polo shirt.

The uniform committee (which is made up of Executive Principal, Diana Patchett, Director of Sport, Helen Belcher, Associate Principal, Chris Wyeth, Maggie's Uniform Shop Manager, Sarah Caldwell, Head of Health & PE, Julia Smith and Director of Community Relations, Victoria Murray-Orr) has now sent a request for a proposal based on these preferences to a number of interested suppliers from throughout New Zealand and we look forward to the next stage in the process which is when they submit their ideas.
