Have you thought about flexi-boarding?

SMC —

Flexi-boarding is a great option for occasional boarding if parents have to head away, or for younger girls to test boarding out for a week.

It is also ideal for girls who have a full week of co-curricular activities or parents who travel for work. Flexi-boarders are absorbed into the boarding family, quickly becoming part of the gang and are always keen to return!

SMC Boarding Facts: We offer boarding for 170 students from all corners of the country (and world). In Julius House (Y7-10) we provide a nurturing dormitory-style environment that is more structured for the girls to make the transition into boarding. Kilburn House (Y11-12) offers shared rooms and encourages the girls to begin taking greater responsibility. The apartment accommodation of Cranmer House (Y13) allows for a transition year to the more independent living situation of a tertiary environment, but still under the watchful eye of SMC staff.

Flexi-boarding is available for our day girls in Years 7-12 and is on a first come first served basis and subject to availability. The minimum stay is one week. Nicky Langley, our Director of Boarding, would be pleased to provide further information (nicky.langley@stmargarets.school.nz).
