In the first Materials Rotation of Wood Technology, the Y9 students have cut more than shapes and created boxes for a specific purpose - addressing individual storage needs.

Creations include a stationery holder, mags, iPad roost, photographs, tissues and the larger, potentially lockable keepsake box for Boarders.

They applied complex joining techniques, with a 1 mm tolerance to make functional objects with or without a lid and used specific machinery to do so that was not available in the Creative Technology Faculty prior to last year.
