Gillian Simpson —

The shortest day is nearly over and hopefully we will see more sunshine over the rest of the term and upcoming holidays. It has been challenging and disappointing for our girls with so many trainings and games having to be cancelled because of weather and ground conditions!

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the evening performances of "Alice" during the last week of term.

This year's whole school production of "Alice!" is a creative masterpiece of which Lewis Carroll himself would no doubt be proud!

The girls, teachers and tutors have woven borrowed and original dance, song and instrumental pieces with the words of Lewis Carroll's timeless works of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass" in a collaborative production which exemplifies creativity and team work in the arts. To co-create and collaborate in an atmosphere of pure joy and love for the arts where girls of all ages ranging from five to 18 years old are at the same moment teacher and pupil is such an enriching experience for all involved.

We thank all who have been involved in creating the vision and the execution of that vision into an exciting and inspiring reality.

Through an experience like this our girls are given permission to create and experiment and to discover and develop hitherto unknown talents. They are given the confidence to perform and the delight and passion for the arts is instilled in each one as a life long gift.

See you there!

Warmest regards

Gillian
