Since our last newsletter, there have been some notable SMC sports achievements.

Athletics
Congratulations to all of our girls who competed at the Canterbury Primary Schools Athletics held at Nga Puna Wai last week there were some stand out results...
Year 8 relay - 1st (Clara Gomes Lira, Rosa Turner, Evie Leeson, Poppy McNeill)
Year 6, 60m - 1st Victoria Gomes Lira

Equestrian
Maddie Collins (Y11) won Champion and Alice Murfitt (Y4) won Reserve Champion for the non-graded level 1 classes at the Canterbury Dressage Champs held over the weekend. Well done girls a great result for SMC equestrian

Volleyball
Congratulations Charlotte Haycock and Emily O'Connor (both Y10) who won silver at the South Island Beach Volleyball Championships played at Pioneer Stadium. They played a hard-fought match displaying some incredible defence and crafty beach shots.
