Tickets are now on sale for this year's Mother-Daughter Breakfast, open to all mothers and daughters from Year 0 - Y13!
Taking place on Friday 14 August at 7:00am, the breakfast is a wonderful way to spend a morning with other SMC mums, your daughter and her friends, listening to an inspirational speaker and enjoying a delicious breakfast, plus raise money for breast cancer research!
Our guest speaker is Libby Oborn who grew up in Southland and was a boarder at St Margaret’s from 1996 to 2000. She was Head Girl in her final year and went on to study at Otago University, completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Design. She worked and travelled overseas before moving to Christchurch in 2008. Libby won the inaugural season of reality TV show The Block NZ with her brother Ben in 2012. They founded their brand agency Libby & Ben that same year and have studios in Christchurch and Auckland.
Libby will talk about how she went from Head Girl to successful business entrepreneur, turning her early passions into a career and working with brands such as Ethique, Christchurch Airport, Coast and The Arts Centre and the lessons learned along the way.
