All donations from SMC's House Warming BBQ went to the Australian Red Cross and this week we received this message from them.

We’re getting in touch to thank you for your recent donation to help people affected by the bushfires in Australia.

We’ve been overwhelmed by your generosity and that of so many others. Please know that your donation is going to where it’s needed.

This is how your donation has helped:

Bushfire Grants - For those whose homes were destroyed or need urgent structural repair. For those hospitalised for injuries in the fires. For the next-of-kin of those who died in the fires.

On-the Ground Disaster Services - Helping people at relief centres, recovery hubs and in their communities

Recovery Programmes - For three years or more, helping communities get back on their feet
