A huge congratulations to Sohyun Kwon (Y10) who has won the top award at the 11th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for New Zealand last weekend.

The competition, held at West Lake Boys High School, was organised by the Confucius Institute of Auckland University, University of Canterbury, Victoria University and Embassy of the People's Republic of China in New Zealand. The only top winner from Christchurch, Sohyun had to do a dance as well as give a speech.  This award comes after she also won the top awards at the Christchurch regional and the South Island "Chinese Bridge" speech competitions where she qualified to take part in last weekends event. Congratulations also to SMC Chinese assistant Dr Jaime Li who won the Best Coach Award.
