Karereatua Williams (Year 9) has been selected into the National U14 Girls Basketball squad to tour Melbourne from 7-12 June.

Cross Country – The Independent Schools’ Cross Country was held at Roto Kohatu this week. Top placings went to:
Year 6 girls – Eve Tayler 3rd and Monica Koleda-Yamamoto 6th.
Year 7 girls – Chloe McNeill 2nd and Rosa Turner 6th.

Gymnastics – Renee Martin competed in the Upper South Island Trampoline Championships last weekend in the 15-16 age group. Renee was placed first in the Individual Trampoline and Synchronised Routine and second in the Double Mini Trampoline.

Netball – 21 SMC girls make Christchurch representative teams!!!
The Christchurch Netball Centre have had a busy time with trials over the last few weeks for U14, U15, U17 and U19 players.

All teams will play in a regional tournament at Queen’s Birthday weekend with the U17 A and U19 team competing at National events in the July holidays.

Our Year 9 team were placed second.
Lily Keenan – 7th, Jemma Burrowes – 8th and Alice Davidson 10th.
Our U16 team were third.
Emily Milner – 16th, Elizabeth Cross – 17th and Issy Story – 19th.

Amelia Persson – 6th, Hannah Bayliss – 13th.

Sevens Rugby – Lucy Jenkins and Evie McPherson have been named on the Long List of NZ U18 Sevens squad for the Youth Olympics which are to be held in Buenos Aires in October this year, Final selection will take place nearer the time.

Water Polo – Violette Perry has been selected as part of the NZ born 2003 training squad. She will attend the first training camp in Auckland in June.
