SMC Staff Structure Changes

Diana Patchett —

As always, our focus is on how we can be the best for our girls, so they can be the best they can be in their academic, personal development and co-curricular pursuits.

A new staffing structure to be in place for the start of next school year reinforces this with the introduction of a Head of Senior School role and Deputy Head roles being created to support the students, families and staff. This enhancement extends the academic, student care, leadership, service and EOTC opportunities and support available to the students and strengthens our ability to tailor our programmes to the specific needs of our Junior, Middle and Senior School girls.

While interviews are currently taking place for the Head of Senior School role, we are pleased to announce Lisa Williams as Deputy Head of Middle School and James Evans as Deputy Head of Senior School (Student Care and Experience), joining Grant Belcher, Deputy Head of Senior School (Academic). We know the energy and drive they all bring to their respective roles will be appreciated by students, parents and fellow staff alike. These appointments offer opportunities for other staff to move up into positions of added responsibility, bringing with them their passion for furthering girls’ education.

Recruitment is also underway for the Associate Principal position, and we are excited by the calibre of candidates who have applied.

We will ensure the parent community is kept up to date with progress and will provide you with a full organisational chart once all appointments are complete.
