IB Out & About

SMC —

If your mental picture of English classes is students quietly writing essays in single file desks, think again ....

It's all on with the Shakespeare’s Othello competition! Both mental and physical energy at work, finding quotes and unpacking questions. The aim of the competition: find the best quote or the best critical angle to answer questions. Go girls!

Or you can have a look into a new version of 'speed dating', featuring Edgar Allen Poe short stories. Each student had a specific story they introduced to the speed dating partner. Fun, yes, but clearly requiring creativity, collaboration, and taking a risk as each girl tried to sell her story. Edgar Allen Poe should surely have appreciated this!
