BizVenture: Thailand

SMC —

Olivia Hubber (Y13) is one of ten students from throughout NZ selected to visit Thailand as part of a week-long BizVenture programme to expose young NZ students to the opportunities awaiting them in the business hub of Southeast Asia.

The students will learn about the culture and business community in Bangkok, visit companies and start-ups, meet local entrepreneurs and those involved in NZ trade relationships.

Additionally, they will partner with local students to complete a business challenge. Each team will be asked to come up with a market-entry strategy that uses their innovative thinking. They will pitch their idea to a panel of judges and invited guests at the end of the programme.

Olivia was selected based on her passion for business, interest in learning about another culture and developing her confidence and global perspective. She is part of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES), where students set up and start a business at school. The trip will take place during the next school holidays.
