From the Head of Junior School

As I write this newsletter, information may have to be altered due to the Prime Minister’s announcement later today. Whatever the outcome, I have been reminded through an educational post about the importance of ensuring that our younger members of our family are left with wonderful memories of their time at home with their families.

Many children during this time will learn new skills that may have been forgotten about or placed on the “when we have time” plan. This quote from a teacher in Sydney resonates with me:

“What if they learn to ride a bike, play a board game, do simple crafts, learn to bake, climb a tree, play without a screen? What if they learn the value of eating together as a family and finding ways to share in the small delights of every day? What if this puts them ahead instead of falling behind?”
