As we write this latest edition of the newsletter the build-up to Tournament week is happening all around us. Letters are going out to parents and girls asking for baking and making sure that packing is kept to a minimum for the trip.

Olivia Hubber (Y13) is one of ten students from throughout NZ selected to visit Thailand as part of a week-long BizVenture programme to expose young NZ students to the opportunities awaiting them in the business hub of Southeast Asia.

A group of SMC Year 10 students, alongside the UC SVA and other Year 10s from local schools, volunteered at Cultivate Christchurch as part of the SVA’s Year 10 UCan programme. The programme provides local secondary students with mentoring by the SVA to become leaders in their communities through volunteering.
