Prize Giving Awards

This year, we have revised our awards categories that include the following changes for Class Awards:

Academic Progress has been changed to Academic Whakapau Haha. Whakapau Haha means to “give it one's all”. This is an apt explanation of the criteria for this award. The recipient of this award will be a student from each year group, who has been working consistently to the best of their ability, with determination and perseverance throughout the year, resulting in academic growth or progress.

Spirit of St Margaret’s is being awarded for Years 1 - 6. The recipients of this award excel in REDS values as well as showing a commitment to the well being of others, caring, polite, show initiative and are enterprising and motivated. They are fully involved in school life.

Academic Excellence is awarded to the top academic achiever in Years 4 - 6 only.

New Entrants are acknowledged with a book label to place in a special book of their own for a great start to their SMC Journey.
