AgriKids Competition 2021

Information regarding AgriKids Competition has been shared with us for those girls who are interested in competing next year.

Information for the contest is below:

  • Compete in teams of three
  • Free entry
  • Plenty of prizes up for grabs
  • 8-13-Year-olds (primary school)

The aim is to promote the fun side of agriculture while children develop valuable skills and make lifelong friendships. Members don’t need to come off a farm, they just need to have a love of the land and be keen to learn and get their hands a bit dirty!

AgriKidsNZ Regional Finals are held in conjunction with the FMG Young Farmer, FMG Jr Young Farmer Contest Regional Finals; therefore there is plenty of exciting viewing to be done!

Competing in teams of three, you will complete eight different modules based on all aspects of the Primary industries. Tasks could include: throwing gumboots, fencing, driving go-karts, sack racing and list goes on.

As a Junior School, we are passing this information on to you if you are interested. If you are able to get a team of three together with a parent willing to supervise for the day, please let me know and I will forward the registration link on.

There are limited spots available – there is a first in first served policy.

The event is on 27 March 2021. The day usually starts around 7.30am until 2.30pm.
