Independent School’s Cross Country
This week, our team of Cross Country Runners represented our school in the Independent School’s Cross Country Race held at Roto Kohatu.
Our teams consisted of Alex Campbell, Eva Grace, Alice Murfitt, Leah Moore, Queenie Qu, Sophia Wu Year 6; Sophie Orman, Aaliyah Wu, Maisie Diver, Methuli Wijayasena, Annabelle Smallman, Isobella Blakely Year 5.
All of the girls showed vast amounts of resilience, determination and grit which is needed when competing in such an event. We had some very close finishes and for many, this was their first experience running this tough course.
Congratulations to Leah Moore who has made it through to the Canterbury Cross Country Zones to be held later in the term.
