Cross Country day is one of those traditional SMC experiences giving the whole school an opportunity to be together. It is a sporting event that has a real festive vibe. A combination of nerves and the importance of competition by some are mixed in with others who view this sport as a relaxed social run with your group of great friends!

Welcome to Florence Lyttle and her family who have joined our Year 4 class. Florence joined us this week and has well and truly embraced the SMC life already! It is wonderful to have her and her whanau join our community. Florence is pictured here with her friend Georgia.

Our first week of winter sports is underway! The excitement of the girls to participate is evident and the organisation of the games, players, coaches and managers can finally be put into practice.

Congratulations to Alice Murfitt who last week earned the Champion for ungraded Level 0 in the Canterbury Dressage Autumn Series. She was the only pony/child in the class of adults.
