These are shared throughout the term as units of work or goals are completed. They may give you an overview of the learning that has taken place as well as a reflection on how your daughter works, learns and achieves.

At the end of this term, there will be information on how your daughter is tracking towards the benchmark or cirriculum level of achievement in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.

The graph below shows an example of Maggie Bear’s progress to date. You will see that it gives the current expectation (curriculum level) for Maggie to achieve by the end of the year (2P),the curriculum level Maggie is currently working at as well as a graph to show accumulated data from her time at school. This is colour coded.

The benchmark or expected curriculum level of achievement is based on a whole year of teaching and learning. The indicators give you feedback on how your daughter is progressing towards the end of year curriculum achievement level. This is important to remember when reading the graphs mid-year, as there are still two terms of learning to take place.

Areas on the graph indicate the following:

Towards Expectation: This indicates there is learning to take place before the expected level is met by the end of the year.

Within Expectation: This indicates that your daughter has already achieved the level expected for her year group.

Above Expectation: This indicates that your daughter is achieving above what is expected for her year group.

As all children learn at different rates, it is important to focus on the progress your daughter has made and the skills she is developing in this area, rather than focusing on the expectations for her year level.

Interviews at the beginning of Term 3 will be an opportunity to discuss and celebrate the successes of goals and work achieved, as well as specific goals to be targeted to achieve curriculum levels.
