From the Head of Junior School

Welcome to Term 4. It is the one term that seems to fly by quickly, but also one of the most exciting in terms of events and opportunities to look forward to engaging in!

“Buckle in” seems an appropriate saying for this term. We know that there will be last-minute changes to events for this term, given the current situation. We will endeavour to communicate these to you at the earliest possible moment. Please ensure to check emails and the app often, as this will provide you with the most up to date information. On my school app, I noticed that I have had to delete the app and resign to get notifications on my home screen. It may pay to update or check your school app as well.

We are delighted to welcome six new students and their families to the Junior School. All these girls have quickly settled into SMC and are embracing the new routines and learning well.

Honor Ferguson, New Entrant
Nina Vassy, New Entrant
Amara Dhaliwal, New Entrant
Millie East, Year 2
Michelle Munemo, Year 2
Eyla Stead, Year 3

One of the best ways to start a term is to go on camp! Year 5 & 6 had the most fabulous time together at Living Springs from Monday to Wednesday this week. The days were full of action and activities. When the girls reflected on what they were most proud of each evening, it was heartwarming to see and hear their reflections, including being courageous, caring, and persevering through some very challenging activities. Many thanks to Sandra Chapman, who organised the camp and Paula Sheldon and Bindy O’Callaghan. These teachers’ care and expertise to ensure that the girls have a memorable experience are greatly appreciated.
