From the Head of Junior School
This week, our EPro8 teams competed in an online competition/challenge. The tasks that they had to complete showed how teamwork, perseverance and thinking outside the square can culminate to create wonderful inventions! Congratulations to our two teams who participated.
Year 5: Aaliyah Wu, Annabelle Smallman, Isobella Blakely, You You Tang, Alexandra Pawsey, Sienna O’Connell Rose Griffiths
Year 6: Greta Costello, Savannah Dallison
The task was to build a famous landmark. The girls were then to become pyrotechnic engineers to construct a mechanism that would allow them to let off fireworks. However, for safety, this mechanism had to be two metres away from the landmark.
Not only did they have to build the landmark, but they also had to work out the correct proportions and scale it to the real icon.
