This week I had the pleasure of attending a talk given by Dr Justin Coulson. Justin was invited by the Head of Middle School, Kathryn Gray, to talk to our community about resilience and how we can raise resilient children.

It’s finally time! Pyjama Day is here! Remember that if your daughter brings a donation for the Sleep Tight Charity on Monday or Tuesday she can wear sleepwear to school this Tuesday.

We would love to invite your daughter to bring a clearly-named mug on Tuesday (Pyjama Day) as we are excited to have TimTams in our JimJams as we enjoy our favourite stories.

This week is the second of our compulsory St Margaret’s College House Chapels. Your daughter needs to attend one of these so if you couldn’t make last Sunday’s chapel, your daughter may attend this week’s in her house colours.

Latest news - Our first Esports winners

Year 1 and 2 had the third in their series of visits to the Christchurch Art Gallery this week. The girls explored the Māori Moving Image display which was an exhibition championing film, animation and video art made by several generations of Māori artists.

This week is Maths Week and the girls have been engaged in solving fun maths problems created by Tammy Lerios, Head of the Maths Faculty.

Thank you all so much for your support for book day. We had our best ever book fair so we will be able to spend about $1000 from Scholastic on new books for our lovely library. Thanks so much to the Junior School especially for your generous support.

Thanking our Coaches. Winter sport is coming to an end. The girls have had some great experiences both at practice and on the playing field/court. We would like to thank our student coaches for their hard work and dedication.

Some of our netballers had a fantastic time taking part in the Rainbow Tournament last weekend at Hagley Park. Huge thanks to Natalie O’Connell for her work around this. Also a big thank you to our young coaches and teachers who supported the girls. Great fun was had by all!
