Another busy week within the Junior School! We are very thankful that we are able to attend and see each other every day. Thank you to our parent community for so smoothly transitioning from Level 1 to Level 2 and back again.

This week we are highlighting our Health and Physical Education Team. They have outlined their extensive curriculum program for you which also gives an overview of the year’s planning. Often, you will find great posts from our PE department highlighting their program and the skills that your daughter has worked on or developed.

Our Junior School Prefect Mimi and her committee warmly invite Year 1 to 3’s and their teddy bear or favourite soft toy companion to spend the day at school with their best friend on Thursday 25 February.

All students that are taking speech and drama and itinerant music lessons at SMC must complete an enrolment form.

Lent is beginning which means a time for reflection and preparation leading up to Easter.

Cybercrime is a very real issue facing families in NZ, but there are easy practical steps to reduce the risk. SMC invites all of our parents of girls in Year’s 5 – 10 to a presentation on the issues associated with the inappropriate use of computers, mobile phones and the internet.
