Rā Haka
On Monday 18th February, 28 talented students from St Mary’s College participated in the annual Rā Haka event at Te Rauparaha Arena.
Representing our school alongside 22 other schools, our students learned and performed three impressive pieces: Te Reo Manawataki by Te Ohu Reo Manawataki o Toa Rangatira, Nau Piki Mai ki Porirua by Te Whare Tapere o Toa Rangatira, and the dynamic Rā Haka by Te Whare Tapere a Te Rauparaha.
Our students were amazing, demonstrating our values and stepping up to show their talent and passion for Kapa Haka. This event marked an exciting beginning to the 2025 Kapa Haka campaign for our rōpū, Ngā Maioha o te Rangikauia.
Ngā mihi e Tina, Kauwiti, Ihaia, and Te Kāhui Kuratea for their guidance and support throughout the day.
