Liam Inman (Year 13) debuted for the St Paul’s Collegiate Premier Basketball Team in 2020 as a Year 9 student, showing a never-look-back attitude. Now in his fifth year with the team, Liam's ability to score and his exceptional game-reading skills have been instrumental to the team's success. He is known for his agility, vision, and precision, making him a valuable playmaker as well as a defense-oriented guard. Liam embodies the spirit of teamwork and resilience, often rallying the team during critical moments and exemplifying outstanding sportsmanship. His dedication to continuous improvement has earned him places in the U16 and U17 Waikato teams, and he has played 50 games for the Premier team.
Finn Dowling (Year 13) joined the St Paul’s Collegiate Premier Basketball Team in 2022 and quickly worked his way up to a starting position by Year 12. In 2024, he was appointed team captain, a role that reflects his dedication and commitment to the team. Finn has now surpassed the milestone of 50 games. Known for his competitive spirit and relentless energy, Finn’s quickness up the court and defensive tenacity have been key to the team's success. He has developed into a reliable scorer, earning the title of 'Mr Dependable.' Finn's leadership, passion, and ability to rally the team make him an outstanding captain, leading from the front throughout the 2024 season.
Cooper Bass (Year 13) joined the St Paul’s Collegiate Premier Basketball Team in 2022 and quickly earned a starting position. His growing confidence has made him a valuable offensive asset, particularly with his ability to drive through traffic and spread the floor with his jump shot from behind the arc. Cooper's shooting skills, often under pressure, have significantly contributed to the team's success, impacting the flow and outcome of many games.
Ben Lou (Year 12) has been a member of the First XI Boys' Hockey Team since 2023. He is a midfielder who brings intensity and speed to the game and his aggressive attacking runs are a constant issue for opposition defenders. His work rate is second to none and he will be a key part of any success the team experiences in the next season and a half. In 2024, Ben was selected into the Waikato U18 Mens' Hockey Team which placed fifth at nationals.
Anika Cowley (Year 12) has been a member of the St Paul’s Collegiate Premier Netball Team for two seasons. As a dynamic mid-court player, Anika has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill in feeding the ball into the shooting circle with precision and timing. Her ability to drive to the ball and create opportunities for her team reflects her sharp awareness and quick decision-making on the court. Anika’s contributions to the team's offensive plays make her an invaluable asset in the mid-court position. She has also represented the Hamilton City Under 16A and Under 18A teams. Anika has earned her Netball cap in recognition of her significant contributions to St Paul’s netball.
Jasmine Davis (Year 12) s in her second season with the St Paul’s Collegiate Premier Netball Team. As a formidable defender, Jasmine consistently dominates the defensive end of the court with her remarkable ability to intercept passes and disrupt the opposition's play. Her instinctive ball-hunting skills and sharp anticipation have led to numerous turnovers, making her a key defensive powerhouse for the team. Jasmine has represented the Hamilton City U16A and U18A teams, and at the beginning of this year, she was invited to attend the New Zealand Netball Development Camp. Jasmine has earned her Netball cap in recognition of her contributions to the success of our Premier team.
