The Hornsby Learning Hub will be one of the most ambitious and significant building projects St Paul’s Collegiate School will undertake.

Through the energy and generosity of the school’s fifth headmaster, Mr Reg Hornsby and his wife Mary, the Hornsby Library was opened in 1968. It proved an immediate success providing an oasis of warmth and quiet in the midst of the normal rush of school life. The Hornsby Library was built to cater for 360 students. With a roll of 750 today, St Paul’s has outgrown this space and the Hornsby Library now no longer meets the requirements of today’s teaching and learning. 

We are about to embark on a major construction project in the school over the next year, the school’s new Hornsby Learning Hub. The Hornsby Learning Hub will be located in the ‘heart’ of St Paul’s as a tribute to Reg and Mary Hornsby and the significant role their generosity played in the history of our school.

The new facility won’t be a library in the traditional sense, instead it will be a multi-purpose building known as the Hornsby Learning Hub. Located in the ‘heart’ of the school it will feature a space for recreational reading, smaller breakout rooms for collaborative group work and larger spaces for cross-curricular learning. Every student in our school will benefit from this new facility.

Leave your mark

Here is an exciting opportunity for you to support the Hornsby Learning Hub and leave your mark by naming a fixed chair in the Chapel of Christ the King. An engraved plaque will be fitted to a chapel chair in recognition of your generous support. There are 150 chairs available for naming, at a cost of $1500 per chair.
