On Sunday 18 August, the school held an annual baptism and confirmation service with Archbishop Phillip Richardson, the Bishop of Waikato and Taranaki and Archbishop of the New Zealand Diocese.

Our students gathered with their families and supporters for a 5.00pm service of baptism in the Chapel of Christ the King, then a number of these students were confirmed by the Bishop at a whole school confirmation service, held at 7.30pm. 

This annual event celebrates who we are as a school and what foundation we are built upon - the Christian faith. Our young people attended the Alpha youth series programme on a Thursday evening, with some also engaging in this programme remotely from home in preparation for this event and what lies beyond.

Sunday was a real celebration and we rejoice at our candidates' decision to not only follow the faith of Jesus Christ and St Paul, but also witness to that faith in front of their peers and the whole school community.
