Nikita Coleman selected for New Zealand Triathlon team
After competing at the New Zealand Triathlon Championships earlier this year, Nikita Coleman (Year 13) has been selected by Triathlon NZ to represent New Zealand in the National Age Group Triathlon Team.
Originally the competition was intended to send the Age Group team to compete in Montreal in the World Sprint Triathlon Championships. At this event, the competitors would have competed in a triathlon consisting of a 750m swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, it was not possible to send the team to Montreal so instead, the team is travelling to Abu Dhabi to compete in the World Super Sprint Triathlon Championships. At this event, competitors will be racing in a triathlon consisting of a 400m swim, a 10km cycle and a 2.5km run.
Well done and congratulations to Nikita on achieving a New Zealand representative honours in her chosen sport of triathlon.
