Chapel art by St Paul's Collegiate School

Unique art piece gifted to St Paul's

Susan Waddell, a former teacher of St Paul's Collegiate School and grandmother of Head Boy Matthew Waddell (Sargood 2017-2021) and James Waddell (Year 12), has kindly gifted the school a unique piece of art.

Created by sculptor Jeff Thomson 12 years ago, the corrugated iron artwork represents native flowers and fauna. The piece previously hung on Susan's wall, but after many hours of dismantling and rehanging, it sits proudly on the outside of the St Barnabas' Annex, facing the Tihoi Garden. Thank you, Susan!

PADI open water diving course by St Paul's Collegiate School

Students scuba dive with Revd

Revd Peter Rickman and five students embarked on four days course to complete their PADI open water diving certificates.

Beginning with a day of theory at the Get Wet pool in Hamilton, students learnt how to dive poolside. After achieving the first stage of the certification, the group then headed off to Whitianga where they put their skills to the ocean over three days. Incredible photos!
