Mitchell Rush takes third place at New Zealand Barefoot Waterski Nationals

Mitchell Rush (Year 11) has landed a bronze medal at the 2022 New Zealand Barefoot Waterski National Titles at Piarere Water Ski Club on Thursday 24 March.

Despite strong winds at the competition, Mitchell's enthusiasm on the water gained him the 'New Zealand's Youngest Backwards Skiier' award and 'New Zealand's Most Promising Skiier.' 

Currently ranked junior world #27, Mitchell has secured a spot in the New Zealand Junior Squad, where the team hopes to participate at the Oceania and World Championships later this year. Congratulations, Mitchell!
