Cricket First XI win 2022 Waikato Valley President Cup

The Lodge Real Estate First XI Cricket team won the 2022 Waikato Valley President Cup T20 on Saturday 26 March. 

After an explosive semi-final game, St Paul's made the T20 final to play against the opposition, Cambridge Premier Men's team. Playing at home on Way Oval, St Paul's batted first, scoring 133 runs with five wickets taken off our 20 overs. Dylan Fletcher (Year 13) was the top-scoring batsman, succeeding a total of 68 runs.  

Once it was St Paul's time to bowl, Andy Irvine shone taking three wickets, only letting Cambridge score 15 runs during his four overs. St Paul's continued collecting wickets and left Cambridge with 36 runs to chase in the final over. Dylan bowled the match out with Cambridge only being able to score a total of 104 runs from their allocated 20 overs. 

Congratulations to Dylan Fletcher who was awarded "Man of the Match" thanks to his skill on the day.
