Assembly hall demolition | St Paul’s Collegiate School by St Paul's Collegiate School

Old assembly hall is farewelled

In December, we said goodbye to the old assembly hall which in recent years has been used as a drama classroom.

With the new performance centre now complete, demolition of the hall was needed to make room for the school's new library (Learning Hub).

The hall has served the school well since 1961. In the early years, the students were involved in its  construction. Mr GI Clark drove a large truck to Huntly each Saturday with eager students, who collected hundreds of bricks from an old demolished house, to be used in the building of the hall.
