Jae Broomfield selected for National Lifeguard School

Year 13 student Jae Broomfield (far right) is one of 20 lifeguards from around New Zealand who have been selected to attend the Surf Life Saving New Zealand's National Lifeguard School. This is a prestigious opportunity that will upskill him to the highest lifeguard qualification, The Advanced Lifeguard Award.

The group will be learning about some of the more difficult emergency situations lifeguards can face, including mass rescue scenarios, search and rescue operations, advanced rock rescues and other complex scenarios. To learn more about the elite programme, click here.
