First-time powerlifter wins competition
Thrilling results for first-time powerlifter, Thomas Scanlon (Year 12), who competed in the North Island Benchpress & Powerlifting Championships earlier this month.
Thomas entered in the Sub-Junior U83kg category winning his division and also qualifying for the New Zealand Powerlifting Championships in August. He hopes to set new national records for the deadlift, squat and benchpress competitions and eventually go on to compete at the Oceania Championships in the coming years. Amazing Thomas, we look forward to the next competition.
