Savannah Patterson by St Paul's Collegiate School

Meet the new staff: Savannah Patterson

Collegian and award-winning writer Savannah Patterson (Harington 2013-2014) joins St Paul’s Collegiate School as a teacher of English.

Tackling a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English, New Media Studies, and Creative Writing, kept Savannah very busy while attending the Auckland University of Technology. During her tertiary study, Savannah picked up a Deans Award and a Masters in Creative Writing before graduating in 2018.

Initially entering her career path as a magazine and newspaper journalist, Savannah felt compelled towards teaching. After completing her Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching from the University of Waikato, Savannah secured a teaching position at Morrinsville College in 2020.

Savannah is delighted to return to St Paul’s as a teacher as she is passionate about English and feels strongly aligned with the school’s values. She is looking forward to working alongside the staff that taught her as a student and while on teaching practicum.
