The Epro8 Challenge is an inter-school science and engineering competition where over 22,000 students from around New Zealand compete, putting their quick-thinking innovation to the test. St Paul's Collegiate School hosted the Waikato event, which saw students from around the region participate in the competition. This year, we had four teams competing, including one senior and three junior teams. Congratulations to our 'SPC Seniors' who finished sixth in the grand final event after finishing fourth in the initial challenge. The 'SPC Fans' won their first challenge and then finished eighth in the semi-finals.

It was a pleasure hosting Tauranga Boys' College on Wednesday 22 June for the annual sports exchange. The results from the day were as follows: 

• Second XV rugby won 22-19 
• Third XV rugby lost 26-19 
• U14 rugby lost 24-17 
• First XI hockey won 2-1 
• Colts hockey lost 5-2 
• First XI football lost 10-0 
• Colts football lost 4-1 
• Senior premier basketball lost 61-49 
• Junior premier basketball lost 78-34 
• St Paul's won the chess tournament 10-6 
• Tauranga Boys' won the debating
