AquaBlack New Zealand swim team by Swimming New Zealand

Laura Littlejohn is officially an AquaBlack

After training and competing in the Canary Islands, Monaco, Barcelona, France, and Slovakia over the past six weeks, Laura Littlejohn (Year 13) has officially become an AquaBlack representing New Zealand at the 19th FINA World Swimming Championships in Budapest.

Laura competed in the 4x200m freestyle relay race, where the team finished seventh in the world, swimming five seconds faster than their previous heat time. In the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay, Laura's team finished ninth, narrowly missing out on the final. During this heat, Laura nearly shaved a full second off her best time.

Congratulations Laura, bring on the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in August!
