Big cheers to Caitlin Foote, Jasmine Davis, and Sophie Dunn for their selection to the three-day Secondary School Netball Development Camp. Under the guidance of Head Coach Pelesa Semu and Assistant Coach Jo Morrison, these talented players join with 90 others from across New Zealand in a series of skill sessions, fitness testing, and match play.

A huge round of applause to St Paul's Collegiate School students, Year 12 Dylan Gardiner (Hamilton Wanderers) and Year 13 Matt D'Hotman (Melville United Football Club) who have been selected to represent New Zealand at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia this November.

Venessa Joyce (Year 13) attended the Rotorua Aria Competitions at the Sir Howard Morrison Centre winning an overall 16 - 18 year competition including the following results: 

  • 1st, Sacred Solo
  • 1st, Folk Song
  • 2nd, Own Selection
  • 2nd, Art Song/Lieder

She also entered the 16 - 21 year category:

  • 2nd, Lieder
  • 3rd, Oratorio/Sacred
  • VHC, Art Song

Venessa attended the Te Awamutu Competitions and was the overall winner of the Scholarship (Aggregate points), over four classes.

Finn Bell (Year 10) had a phenomenal wicket and run haul in the Seddon Colts Cricket tournament. Fresh back from Tihoi, Finn achieved 121 with the bat and a total of 7 wickets - and a runout. Accompanied by his Tihoi mate Archie Joll (85), these boys led the team to achieve a total of 243-10 off 54 overs.

Congratulations to Claire Johnstone, Iona Martynoga and Natalya Walker-Riggins who have been selected for the Waikato Lacrosse U18 training squad to prepare for the U18 Nationals in Melbourne next year.

Aimee Steele (Year 12) has been accepted into the 2024 University of Canterbury Women in Engineering programme. WiE CAN is a five-day residential programme that features interactive workshops, inspiring presentations, and fun social activities.
