First XV rugby team at Donny Park by St Paul's Collegiate School

Special character at St Paul's

The First XV rugby team was involved in a community project at Donny Park. St Paul's Sports Chaplain Wayne Douglas (affectionately called Chappie) coordinated the project with Hamilton City Council to give the team an opportunity to give back to the community. The team members spread mulch, weeded and collected rubbish while having a great team time together.

Fitchett House presented a wonderful Chapel Service in March on the theme of unity. This service harmonised well with the message shared a few days later at the Race Relations Day Service where Karina Yu delivered a strong message about how cultural appreciation is led by example.

As part of Race Relations Day, students participated in a fun spicy noodle competition. This event was coordinated by the 2023 International Student Representatives who help raise cultural awareness and play a key part in supporting a global community at St Paul's.

St Paul's students volunteered at the Zuru Night Glow where they were crowd ambassadors answering questions, directing people and looking out for lost children.

Students helped out at The Serve where they provided 60 meals for the community.

Year 9 Leon Li gave service with his youth group at Tamahere Eventide Village. Leon and his peers met with the residents and did karate kata with them.

The students attended the beautiful Garden of Remembrance Service to remember past students and staff who have passed away. The Service can be watched here
