Sam Webb interviews Chiefs Captain

Sam Webb (Year 12) interviewed Chiefs Captain Luke Jacobson as part of the pre-game hype for the Waikato Chiefs game against the Melbourne Rebels. Sam asked the captain how it felt to lead the team and how important it was to play for a home crowd. Sam, who previously worked for What Now as a sports reporter, says, "It's a different beast doing live TV - I loved the experience." Sam was able to work with the Sky Sports TV crew to learn more about how outside broadcasting works.

Player of the year award

A Year 10 cricketer, Harrison Fletcher, won an award with The Northern Maaori Rangatahi team for the joint top wicket-taker and third-highest run-scorer for his team in the Youth Rangatahi Tournament. 

Performance by Xiang Chang
The students were treated to a brilliant musical performance by Xiang (Sean) Chang (Year 13) at an assembly. Xiang performed Yosabi's Kaibutsu. Watch his performance below. 

Top finishes in golf
Year 12 golfers Liam Hill, Liam Parker and Oliver Hooper were top finishes at the Futures Waikato Junior Golfing Society competition held in March and each received a Golf Warehouse voucher.  

Zach Keyte success in polo
Zach Keyte (Year 13) will travel to Boston to play in the Polo New Zealand Under 18s School Team and will play against the United States of America. 

Futsal division winners

St Paul's Year 10 Friday Night Futsal team won the final of their division at The Peak. Congratulations to Louie Austin, Lochi Hoy, Archie Joll, Finn Bell, Quintus Daniell, Jackson Hay and John Park 

Football success
Year 13 Genevieve Churton was part of the victorious Division 1 Women's team at the recent Grassroots Football Tournament at Cambridge Football Club. Teams came from across the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland to contest the cup as a pre-season competition.
