Subject information evening by St Paul's Collegiate School

Subject information evening for Year 10 families

You are cordially invited to attend a Subject Information evening regarding Level 1 NCEA and Cambridge subjects for 2022. The Subject Information evening will be held on Friday 20 August in the Lander Centre (the new Learning Hub). The evening will be a chance for parents and students to talk to senior staff members about the courses on offer.

This will largely be a chance to freely talk to the Senior Leaders of Curriculum, along with other academic staff to better understand the subjects your son/daughter is considering for the 2021 academic year. Mr Jeremy Coley (Deputy Headmaster - Academic) along with Mrs Helen Bradford (Deputy Headmaster - Junior School and NZQA Principal’s Nominee) will present information around NCEA and Cambridge at 4.30pm and 5.30pm. The remainder of the time will be spent walking around and talking to subject specialists - Arts, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Sports Science, and Technology.

Paul Wilson, Careers Advisor, will also be available. Naturally, we understand the importance of the subject decisions and are also acutely aware of being adaptable with people's time. If you can make it along at any stage during this time period in order to be fully informed of the subjects on offer, that would be greatly appreciated.

If you are unable to make this date, there will be a summarised version of the presentations available to view from the seven curriculum areas: Arts, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Sports Science and Technology. This link can be sent to you after the Information evening.

The 2022 Curriculum Choices booklet will be available shortly. Once finalised, this will also be available on our website www.stpauls.school.nz – current families, Academic.

Following this evening, you will be emailed a link to the electronic subject selection area. You and your student can then choose the subjects they would like to take for 2022.
